Quotations are wonderful aren’t they! They say what we want to say in such a few words. They’re memorable bits of wisdom you remember from your parents; from sayings that today we recognized as adages. they’ve been used for so long; in speeches; books; poetry; and even on billboards – for those of you of an age that remembers the Burma-shave highway signs.
They’re great to use to make a point whether you’re giving a speech, or just trying to make a point in casual conversation. Here are a few. Some you already use. Some to add to your collection.
